Since 2013, the Wihuri Research Institute (WRI) has been organizing the annual WRI Symposium. The symposium facilitates the exchange of the latest technologies and ideas, and encourages interactions at multiple levels, from students to global leaders. Participants at the symposium benefit from an engaging program of lectures delivered by leading experts and junior investigators in cardiovascular biology and medicine.
The 2024 Symposium, now in its 10th year, brought together 120-150 researchers and students from various fields of cardiovascular research. The Wihuri Research Institute Symposium 2024 on
Vascular Specialization in Tissue Homeostasis and Disease took place on August 15 at the Hanaholmen Cultural Centre, Helsinki, Finland.
The WRI 2024 Symposium was organized in collaboration with the Doctoral Programs in Biomedicine (DPBM) and Integrative Life Science (ILS), University of Helsinki.
