Symposia

We want to share knowledge and bring together some of the most acclaimed researchers in our field.

Since 2013, WRI has been organizing the yearly Wihuri Research Institute Symposium.

The symposium brings together 120–150 researchers and students in various fields of cardiovascular biology and medicine, fostering exchange of newest technologies, ideas and facilitating interactions at various levels, from students to global leaders. We provide our participants an exciting mix of lectures by leading experts and junior investigators in cardiovascular biology and medicine.

The WRI symposia is organized as a part of the DPBM Doctoral Programme curriculum.

Usually the symposium takes place at Biomedicum Helsinki but in 2020, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the symposium was organized as a webinar.
